For Taos. (In Marriage)
07:42
|
|||
My brace had left me standing swiveld upon the porous shore
I felt the breeze so easily and tame
My sister's voice returned to her and saved us from a drought
I emptied both my shoes and quit the flame
Upon that beach I was walking, I saw my home on the hill
My eyes began to fix upon the midst
I woke up tied to iron chains with the keys thrown in the sea
I had to walk back with metal around my wrists.
Along that road I came to know so well in these past years
I hadn't noticed the light along the side
Lockets made of blue and gold along that bridge of tears
Unlocked and left to dangle by the ear
Oh, a distant chime that traveled called to me from the flats
I heeded to its hedge and I followed its course and
I let it take me back.
Impatient, cold, and paralyzed, I couldn't hold to see my kin
I doubled the time and I raced my way along
Was I unstoppable? Was I so grim? Was I so restless facing the high wind?
Was I in such a rush to get back home with just
one headlight on?
And all the time I was alone haunted by that coal stained mirror
The path ahead was much too speared and far to view
I made it sad. I made it sigh. I made it joyful and true.
I made it home by that carillon song written just for two.
That distant chime that traveled called to me from the flats
I heeded to its hedge and I followed its course and
let it take me back
All I can do now is thank you for always being here.

How Great Thou Art
06:23
|
|||
O Lord, My God
When I in Awesome wonder consider all the worlds
Thy hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
When through the woods and forest glades I wander and
Hear the birds sing sweetly through the trees
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and
See the brook and feel the gentle breeze
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
And when I think that God, His Son, not sparing
Sent him to die I scarce can take it in
That on the cross my burdens gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration and
Then proclaim
My God How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art
Then sings my soul, how good it is to believe
How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art

Patience Is A Lifetime
07:23
|
|||
"These shoes carry me great and far
no grass had ever grown beneath my feet
Honey, I don't need a well to carry these lilies through this field
I need your hand to take mine. Show me you don't mean."
I've spoken so many words and cared not for what they all mean
I do believe in The Way now even the robe He wore without a seam.
Yeah, and I would wake for heaven, baby.
Weather through the tide and through the storm.
Oh, and I would wake for heaven, baby
For that ancient gate of love to form.
The bells just chime and chime and I am biding by my time
No clock in any country of the world should ever hold me to a bind
Nor shall I find myself blinded by doings on the streets upon the knees
I can see the light just over the hill I'm almost there that I believe
You believe it, too? Or are you just setting up your things to leave?
What is the rush? There's nothing in the world you and I would ever need.
Oh, and I would wake for heaven, baby.
For the walls of pride to fall
Yeah, I would wake for heaven, baby
For His love to reign over us all.
Where has all of our confidence gone? Was it lost by the spreading of the weed or was it forged into the thorn of every thoughtless tired greed?
From where I'm standing the wind is calm. I've find my wise to walk inside the heat. I hope the same for you wherever in the world you ease and I hope you found a purpose closer than the deeds of that distant dying star.
Yeah, and I would wake for heaven, baby.
Even though we're still inside the womb.
Oh, and I would wake for heaven, baby
Tomorrow or a Lifetime. All Is Soon.
